Hey! I’m Jessica
Your chronic illness, bestie! If you have a chronic illness that affects your daily life, then this is the place for you!
The Average Spoonie covers everything from health and fitness to beauty to chronic illness and advocacy posts. My hope is to bring joy and ease to our already crazy lives living with chronic illness.
I created this site as a way to keep pushing through the rough patches I have been going through with my health. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and autoinflammatory syndrome in 2020, just at the start of the pandemic. Since then, it has been a journey to find ways to get control of them and the symptoms they cause. In 2022, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, which has added another layer of difficulties. But I am determined to outshine my illness and continue to live a full-filled life, as everyone should.
